Convict

When convicted in the criminal justice statistics is one Persons judged referred against which the criminal court by ruling a prison sentence , a criminal arrest or a fine imposed. A convicted person is also considered to be a person against whom a penalty order has become final. In juvenile criminal law, those convicted are those who have been sentenced to a juvenile sentence, a disciplinary agent or an educational measure.

In Germany, you can only convict someone who is at least 14 years old when the offense is committed. Persons against whom only one or more measures of reform and protection have been imposed are not considered convicted.

Criminal convictions are also entered in the federal central register above a certain level of punishment .

As a rule, convicts bear the costs of the proceedings , their own expenses and the expenses of the joint plaintiff's representative.
