The Verve (speaking French [vɛrv (ə)] ) denotes an artistically creative lightness and symbolizes a generally positive exhilarating lifestyle .

The German term is used in particular for the momentum (in the sense of the attitude to life), inventiveness and enthusiasm in an artistically demanding context and leads back to an old Romanic expression for talent and creativity in writing . He became particularly by Kurt Tucholsky poem "The Ideal" widely in the German language .
