writing

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The writing is the narration by literature , generally in writing.

As the genus proximum of everything that counts in the craft of literary writing, writing is related to the writer as sculpture is to the sculptor and painting is to the painter.

Character lore

Lajos Egri writes about the importance of character studies for literary success , the "secret of great and timeless literature" is "living, colorful people". What keeps imperishable classics alive over the centuries is not style experiments, but their extraordinarily haunting character portraits. One example is Oblomov in Ivan Alexandrovich Goncharov 's novel of the same name.

dramaturgy

The dramaturgy area deals with the general principles of composition for literary texts such as action and plot , tension and suspense .

Form science

The science of forms is the canon of literary forms of representation : anecdote , story , fable , gloss , satire , novel , essay , novella , short story , aphorism , legend , parable , etc.

Storytelling techniques

When creating a literary work, real events are mapped onto fictional events . Elements of reality are used, but they are changed in the creation of fiction. This process in which real events are processed, alienated, disguised, is the narrative technique . It expresses itself on the text level, for example, through stylistic , grammatical and language-pragmatic phenomena.

A typical phenomenon of fiction that can be generated by means of a certain narrative technique is to be able to represent the ego-originality ( subjectivity ) of a third person as a third person . If verbs of perception are used in the third person, it has to be fiction and not a reality report as an outsider cannot know what is going on inside a third person.

Another characteristic of fiction generated by certain narrative techniques is to create the illusion of presence. For example, the fictional use of the past tense in verbs of internal processes (also called epic past tense ) can be combined with the use of deictic adverbs of time, which, however, refer to the here-and-now point of view of the characters in the novel, and thus the statement of reality ultimately with the Link the present or future tense .
