history

The administrative community Ballenstedt was founded in 1994 by the voluntary amalgamation of three communities. The municipality of Badeborn was incorporated into the city of Ballenstedt on January 1st, 2002. The administrative community was dissolved on January 1, 2005 and the communities were incorporated into the newly established administrative community Ballenstedt / Bode-Selke-Aue .
