Administrative community Ballenstedt / Bode-Selke-Aue
In the administrative community Ballenstedt / Bode-Selke-Aue of the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt , seven municipalities were united to handle administrative business. 12,980 inhabitants lived in an area of 142.12 km² (as of December 31, 2008). The last administrative manager was Michael Knoppik.

history
The administrative community was created on January 1, 2005 through the merger of the administrative community Ballenstedt with the administrative community Bode-Selke-Aue .
The dissolution took place on January 1, 2010. Radisleben was incorporated into Ballenstedt, which became a unified municipality . The remaining communities became part of the Vorharz community , with Hausneindorf and Wedderstedt merging to form the community of Selke-Aue , which Heteborn joined.
