On March 1, 1929, the manor district Rätzellsches Rittergut Hausneindorf was combined in parts with the community of Hausneindorf and in parts with that of the community of Friedrichsaue.

After 1990 initially belonging to the Aschersleben district , Hausneindorf moved to the Quedlinburg district as part of the district reform in 1994 and joined the Bode-Selke-Aue administrative community . In 2005, the latter became the administrative community Ballenstedt / Bode-Selke-Aue , which almost completely merged on January 1, 2010 to form the Vorharz Association.
