The castle Hausneindorf is a hilltop castle on a 112 m above sea level. NN high plateau above the Selke in the district of Hausneindorf (Wallstrasse) of the municipality of Selke-Aue in the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt . The castle is registered as a ground monument in the local register of monuments .
history
The "Burg zu Neundorf" (Hausneindorf) was founded around 1140 by Heinrich the Lion ( County Blankenburg ), destroyed in 1168 and rebuilt in 1172. In later ownership of the Halberstadt Monastery , the castle was first mentioned in a document in 1310 as a pledge of the County of Regenstein. From 1429 to 1573 the castle was in the possession of the Lords of Hoym .
After the transformation into a Prussian state domain in 1711, agricultural use permanently changed the appearance of the castle.

Inside the castle complex with a diameter of about 175 meters, surrounded by wide dry trenches, was the round inner castle with a diameter of about 100 meters, surrounded by a wall, protected by a 10 to 15 meter wide kennel .
To reach the castle was of the Selke valley over two bridges and their protected by a Doppeltoranlage eastern main entrance to the outer bailey .
The northwest part of the core Burg formed a 40 by 40 large fort with the 10 by 25-meter preserved Roman Palas the west and the surviving square 7.5 by 7.5 meters wide and 27 meters high gothic spiked keep in the southeast corner, of the traces of a renaissance - spiral staircase shows.
