Administrative community Gröningen
The towns of Gröningen and Kroppenstedt and the municipality of Krottorf were united in the administrative community of Gröningen in the Saxony-Anhalt Bördekreis . The administrative seat was Gröningen. On January 1, 2001, Krottorf was incorporated into Gröningen. On January 1, 2005 the administrative community was merged with the administrative community Hamersleben to form the new administrative community Westliche Börde .
