The administrative court has its seat in Weimar in the building Jenaer Straße 2a .
Instance move
The Weimar Administrative Court is subordinate to the Thuringian Higher Administrative Court , which is also based in Weimar. The Higher Administrative Court is subordinate to the Federal Administrative Court .
history
With the Thuringian law for the execution of the administrative court order in the version of the announcement of December 15, 1992 , an independent administrative jurisdiction was established in Thuringia after the end of the GDR. In addition to the new administrative courts in Meiningen and Gera , the Weimar Administrative Court was also set up. The first president of the re-established administrative court was Hartmut Schwan , who led the court until his appointment as president of the Thuringian Higher Administrative Court. He was succeeded on November 9, 2005 by Elke Heßelmann , Vice President since 2001, as President.
