Elke Heßelmann

Elke Heßelmann (born July 2, 1958 in Oberhausen ) is a German lawyer and president of the Weimar Administrative Court as well as a judge at the Thuringian Constitutional Court .

Heßelmann studied at the Universities of Erlangen and Bonn law , it completed legal training in England and worked from 1986 as a judge on probation at the administrative court in Cologne until 1989 Judge lifetime was appointed. In 1994 she was transferred to the Thuringian State Service. From 1995 she was presiding judge at the Weimar Administrative Court, from 2001 its vice-president and since 2005, as successor to Hartmut Schwan , its president.

Since 2010 she has also been a judge at the Thuringian Constitutional Court.

Heßelmann is the founder of the Weimar Community Foundation.
