Blurring
Blurring is an artistic technique that was created by Wolf Vostell from 1961 onwards . Vostell enlarged photographs from magazines and newspapers on photo canvas (emulsified canvas), mounted them on stretcher frames and smeared them with a mixture of turpentine and carbon tetrachloride . This mixture is applied to a cloth or cotton wool to smear the photographs.
When taking pictures , the photographer can consciously create a blurring by choosing a relatively long exposure time for a subject moving sideways (on the contrary: he follows the camera and creates a blurred background).
