Very is a small impact crater on the northeastern front of the moon in the Mare Serenitatis plain , east of Sarabhai crater . Immediately to the east of Very runs part of the ridges of the Dorsa Smirnov , the approximate center of which marks Very.
The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1973 after the American astronomer Frank Washington Very .
