Rain Vessenberg (born November 27, 1975 ) is an Estonian football goalkeeper . At a height of 187 cm, he has a weight of over 100 kg.
Career
Vessenberg started his career at Tulevik Viljandi. There he developed into a regular player in the club. That of course aroused the interest of the Estonian top club Flora Tallinn, which then signed him. During this time (1994 to 1995) Vessenberg played five games for Estonia . A short time later he lost his regular place as goalkeeper at Flora Tallinn and he went from there to Tervis Pärnu. Other stations in Estonia included FC Valga, FC Kuressaare and, at the end of his career, FC Elva. A short stay in Finland with Kotkan Työvänen Palloilijat did not bring the desired success and so after two months he went back to Estonia, where he had numerous different positions to this day (as of December 2012). From that time he was alternately active in the first or second Estonian league until 2002 and from then on mainly in lower-class Estonian football. Although his defensive position as a goalkeeper, he was able to register several times as a goalscorer in the course of his career; but only as a penalty taker.
