Vettius Agorius Basilius Mavortius
Vettius Agorius Basilius Mavortius was a Roman senator and consul .
Mavortius was comes domesticorum (commander of the imperial guard) and consul in 527. He emended the Horace with the speaker Securus Memor Felix . The emendation falls according to the subscription in the time after his consulate and before 534, when the speaker Felix reached a higher rank.
Possibly the consul of 486 Caecina Mavortius Basilius Decius was his father.
