The VfR Magdeburg was a sports club in the German Empire with headquarters in Magdeburg , today's capital of the state of Saxony-Anhalt .
history
The association was founded on August 25, 1919. The soccer team was integrated into the Gauliga Mitte for the 1944/45 season , there in turn into the Magdeburg-Schönebeck district . Nothing is known about games played this season. According to a newspaper report, the only reference to the season is the game of a team that included players from VfR as well as from Prussia and Cricket-Victoria . However, the season was not played to the end due to the ongoing Second World War . After the end of the war, the association was also dissolved.
