The VfR links der Weser Bremen (officially: Association for lawn sports links of the Weser Bremen eV from 1913 ) was a football club from Bremen . The club went on in 1971 in the SC Rot-Weiß Bremen .
Club history
The club was founded on January 1, 1913 as FC Eintracht Bremen and was later renamed BV Brema 1913 Bremen . In 1921 there was a merger with FC Minerva Bremen to form VfR links der Weser . On July 7, 1971, the VfR merged on the left of the Weser with the VfB Komet Bremen to form SC Rot-Weiß 96 Bremen . Rot-Weiß Bremen took on the name VfB Komet again in 1978 and in 2006 merged with TuS Arsten to form TuS Komet Arsten .
With one exception, the VfR on the left of the Weser played exclusively in the lower class. Only in the 1950/51 season succeeded in climbing to the top Bremen amateur league , from which the club, however, had to be relegated immediately as the bottom of the table.
