The nature reserve Vichtbachtal with Grölis, Schlee and Lensbach lies in the area of Roetgen .

Protection purpose

The habitats for many plants, fungi and animals in NRW that are endangered according to the Red List are to be protected .

The objectives are the conservation and development of the following natural habitats in accordance with Annex I of the Habitats Directive:

• swell
• near-natural and unspoilt stream sections
• Wet and humid grassland
• Floodplain forest
