Victor Allis

Louis Victor Allis (born May 19, 1965 in Gemert ) is a Dutch computer scientist who works in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Among other things, he published solution methods for the strategy games Four in a Row , Qubic and Five in a Row . As part of the solution from Vier wins and Qubic, he developed the search algorithm Proof Number Search .

From 1983 to 1988 Allis studied computer science at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and from 1990 to 1993 did a doctoral degree at the University of Maastricht on the subject of artificial intelligence. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
