Victor Crumière

Victor Crumière (* 1895 in Avignon ; † 1950 ibid.) Was a French painter and decorative artist .

Life

At a very young age he attended Charles Vionnet and Jules Flour's courses at the École des Beaux-Arts (EBA) in Avignon , where he received numerous awards. As an interior decorator and designer, he designed furniture, decorative signs and logos in the Art Deco style . He was interested in decorative methods such as false marble , false wood, patina and craquelure painting.

Crumière liked to paint Provence , fully-lit landscapes and still lifes bathed in sunlight . From 1920 to 1950 he exhibited in Avignon, alone or with groups of painters from Provence. From 1927 to 1936 he could be seen regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris and from 1928 to 1946 in Nîmes . In 1950 he died unexpectedly in Avignon.

Works

Some of his works are exhibited in the Musée Louis Vouland in Avignon.
