Victor Sumulong
Victor Sumulong (born May 19, 1946 in Manila , † January 6, 2009 ) was a Filipino politician .
Sumulong was the son of the future Senator Lorenzo Sumulong . From 1998 to 2007 he was a member of the Philippine House of Representatives . In 2007, Sumulong was elected mayor of Antipolo and held that office until his death. His predecessor as mayor, Angelito Gatlabayan , in turn, was now a member of the House of Representatives for the district that Sumulong had previously represented.
On January 6, 2009, Sumulong, who had diabetes, died of multiple organ failure after a long illness. He was married and had three children.
Sumulong was a close friend of Interior Minister Ronaldo Puno .
