Victor Tafel (born September 24, 1881 in Adrianople , † January 25, 1946 in Freiberg ; full name: Victor Eugen Tafel) was a German metallurgist . He was a full professor of metallurgy and director of Metallhüttenm. Institute of the TH Breslau .

He achieved particular fame through his textbooks on metallurgy.

Victor Tafel was a grandson of the theologian Johann Friedrich Immanuel Tafel . With his wife Lotte geb. Roch he had four children. He was only very distantly related to Wilhelm Tafel , who also teaches at the TH Breslau (cousin 4th degree).

Since his studies at the Bergakademie Freiberg he was a member of the Corps Teutonia Freiberg .
