Location and natural space
The Victorburer March is part of the Sietland . It begins a few kilometers east of Emden and marks the transition from the younger to the older East Frisian marshland.
history
In contrast to Victorbur, the place is still quite young. For a long time there was no large-scale settlement of the flood-prone area. It wasn't until the late 18th century that people settled here permanently. Apparently in so large numbers that a school was established here that has since been abandoned.
