Victorinus (Consul 282)
Victorinus was a Roman senator . In 282 he was full consul with Emperor Probus .
The identification of the Victorinus turns out to be difficult, since the chronographs mostly only indicate the cognomen . However, he could be identified with two traditional people. He could be that Victorinus who put down an attempt at usurpation in Britain (by Lucius Septimius ?) In 280 or 281 and was rewarded with the consulate by Probus. But it could also be Pomponius Victorianus , who was city prefect in 282 . Victorinus and Victorianus could also be one person, but this must remain open because of the difficult source situation.
