The Vidin Heights (English; Bulgarian Видински възвишения Widinski waswischenija ) are a series of icy heights in the eastern part of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . They occupy the central part of the Varna Peninsula in the direction of Inott Point over a length of 8 km with a west-southwest-east-northeast orientation . Its highest peak, Miziya Peak , rises 4.35 km north-northeast of Leslie Hill and 9.45 km from Mount Bowles . These include the Samuel Peak and the Sharp Peak on the east-northeast foothills.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 1997 after the city of Vidin in northwestern Bulgaria .
