The Inott Point is a headland on the east coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 1.5 km north-northeast of Edinburgh Hill and protrudes into McFarlane Strait .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1962 after Robert Inott (1764-1825), captain of the sealer Samuel from Nantucket , who had operated between 1820 and 1821 in the waters around the South Shetland Islands.
