The Kubrat Knoll ( Bulgarian Кубратова могила Kubratowa mogila ) is a 140 m high and rocky hill on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 0.64 km west-southwest of Inott Point , 2 km east of Arbanassi Nunatak and 1.8 km north of Edinburgh Hill .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it when surveying the Tangra Mountains between 2004 and 2005. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2005 after Kubrat , a proto-Bulgarian ruler of the 7th century.
