Four Great Imams is a collective term for the founders of the four legal schools of Sunni Islam :

• Imam Abū Hanīfa ( Hanafis )
• Imam Mālik ibn Anas ( Malikites )
• Imam al-Shafidis ( Shafidites )
• Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal ( Hanbalites )
