Four spiritual laws

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The four spiritual laws are the evangelical doctrines that Bill Bright , the founder of the world's largest missionary organization, Campus Crusade for Christ International , formulated in 1952 and published as an evangelistic tract . They should clearly explain the essentials of the Christian faith in salvation .

content

In the treatise, Bright presents the Christian message of salvation using four spiritual laws, which he understands to regulate the relationship between man and God in a manner similar to how the natural laws regulate the universe . The four laws are:

  1. God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life. ( Joh 3,16  EU , Joh 10,10  EU )
  2. Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.
  3. Jesus Christ is God's only way out of sin. Through him you can get to know and experience the love of God and his plan for your life. ( Rom 5,8  EU , 1 Cor 15,3-6  EU , Joh 14,6  EU )
  4. We must personally receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, then we can experience God's love and his plan for our lives. ( Joh 1,12  EU , Eph 2,8-9  EU , Joh 3,1-8  EU , Rev 3,20  EU )

distribution

The tract is widespread and is still used in different forms and languages by evangelical Christians to explain their beliefs to people who are not evangelically influenced. Among other things, it is used by student organizations such as the Philippine Student Alliance Lay Movement (PSALM).
