The Vierer See is a lake in the municipality of Bösdorf in the Plön district in Schleswig-Holstein . It is located southeast of Plön , east of the Großer Plöner See , from which it is separated by a sometimes very narrow strip of land.
It is located in Holstein Switzerland , surrounded by a hilly moraine landscape .
The lake has a very elongated shape and runs from northeast to southwest with a maximum length (in NE / SW direction) of approx. 3.2 km and is up to approx. 500 m wide. It has a size of about 132 ha and a maximum depth of about 18.8 m. The underwater vegetation in the lake extends to a depth of 2.5 meters (incidence of light).
In the northeast the Viererseegraben (which previously flows through the Heidensee (Holstein)) flows into it - in the southwest it drains into the Großer Plöner See .
It is fished and there are swimming spots. The villages of Waldshagen and Augstfelde lie on its banks .
