The Heidensee is a lake in the municipality of Bösdorf in the Plön district in Schleswig-Holstein . It is located between Plön and the village of Kleinmühlen to the west - directly south of the B 76

It is located in Holstein Switzerland , surrounded by a hilly moraine landscape south of the Suhrer See and east of the Vierer See and the Großer Plöner See .

The lake has an oval shape (with a few bays) with a length of approx. 600 m (in west-east direction) and a width of approx. 300 m (in north-south direction). It has a size of about 15 hectares and a maximum depth of about 2.7 meters. The Heidensee drains in the west via the Viererseegraben into the Vierer See .

The largest cormorant colony in Schleswig-Holstein is located on the Heidensee . There is a private swimming area.
