The residential building Viersener Straße 135 is in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) in the Am Wasserturm district .

The building was built in 1927 and entered into the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach on March 28, 1995 under No. V 022 .

North of the water tower on the street section facing out of town, which has an almost closed historical row development on both sides.

architecture

It is a three-storey plastered building with a loft . Asymmetrically structured by accentuating the entrance axis (right) by means of a two-storey, flat arched bay window and a gabled dwarf building with a balcony exit . A single floor and sill cornice as horizontal emphasis. The windows of the left half of the facade (three first floor, two upper floors each) in a regular arrangement and uniformly rectangular formation; decorated with profiled sills . The bay window that occupies the right-hand half of the building is opened by three more narrowly formulated vertical rectangular windows connected by cornice. Next to the house entrance on the left is a smaller, barred window. The surface of the gable roof breaks through a two-string dormer . For urban planning reasons, placing the building under protection is therefore in the public interest.
