Viiu Härm (born July 3, 1944 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian writer , poet and actress .

life and work

Viiu Härm was born the daughter of a worker. From 1951 to 1962 she attended school in Tallinn. Härm closed in 1965 her degree in performing arts at the State Conservatory of Tallinn ( Tallinna Riiklik Konservatoorium ab). From 1965 to 1971 she was an actress at the State Youth Theater of the Estonian SSR . She starred in numerous Estonian films.

Viiu Härm was also known as a freelance writer, but above all as a poet, in Estonia. In 1958 she made her debut with her first poems in the newspaper Säde . Nature and human relationships play a major role in her poetry.

Private life

Viiu Härm is the wife of the Estonian writer and politician Paul-Eerik Rummo (* 1942). She has three daughters. Härm is the sister of the Estonian ballet dancer Tiit Härm (* 1946).
