history
The Vijia is a ship that has been used for sea voyages for almost 50 years. She was the last caravel or the last ship with this type designation that crossed the Atlantic Ocean . In 1618, it was used by the Spanish explorer Bartolomé García de Nodal to drive from Lisbon towards the Strait of Magellan. It was here that he and his brother Gonzalo García de Nodal , who always sailed with a sister ship in sight, discovered the Diego Ramírez Islands in 1619 .
