Viktor Bogdanovic (born February 18, 1981 in Basel ) is a Swiss comic artist .

Life

Viktor Bogdanovic grew up in Basel, where he attended the Basel School of Design, among other things . His parents (both teachers) moved from the former Yugoslavia to Switzerland in the 1980s . After studying in Belgrade , Bogdanovic returned to Switzerland. In addition to his further training at the University of Education in Basel , he began to take on smaller assignments as a comic artist and illustrator .

Several independent comics followed (including Garth Kirby and the Cookbook of the Gods with Sal Crivelli and Chris Smith and the Nazi Zombies from Hell with Julian Burrett). In 2013 he published his first series Reality Check for Image Comics with author Glen Brunswick . In 2014 he sent several sample pages to some editors of the US comic book publisher DC Comics . Alex Antone then hired him as a draftsman for the series Batman: Arkham Knight , which he drew for almost a year. Batman: Arkham Knight is the comic adaptation of the computer game of the same name .

This was followed by the mini-series Suicide Squad Most Wanted: Deadshot (author: Brian Buccellato). Bogdanovic was part of DC's Rebirth Event where he and Gene Luen Yang created the new series New Super-Man . In 2017 Bogdanovic signed an exclusive contract with DC. In the same year he drew action comics , where he worked with Dan Jurgens . In January 2018 he took over the series The Silencer (author: Dan Abnett ) from John Romita Jr. , which is part of DC's New Age of Heroes series. Bogdanovic lives and works in Berlin today .
