Victor Conzemius
Victor Conzemius (born September 3, 1929 in Echternach ; † June 24, 2017 in Lucerne ) was a Luxembourgish Roman Catholic church historian .
Life
Conzemius was born the son of a hotelier. He studied philosophy and theology at the Luxembourg seminary and history, philosophy and theology at the University of Freiburg . There he was in 1954 with a thesis on the Archbishop of Trier Jakob III. PhD from Eltz . In 1955 he was ordained a priest . Conzemius then worked as a pastor before moving to Dublin from 1965 to 1968 as a lecturer in modern history . From 1970 to 1980 he taught church history at the University of Lucerne . He then worked as a freelance scientist and publicist.
