Viktor Weigelt

Viktor Weigelt (born September 23, 1878 in Steinach ; † October 14, 1946 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Viktor Weigelt was born on September 23, 1878 as the son of a stylus maker in Steinach. After attending school and completing an apprenticeship, he worked as a small trader. From 1911 to 1918 he worked as a seltzer water manufacturer in Steinach and from 1919 to 1920 in the same position in Saalfeld . Later he worked again in Steinach.

Weigelt joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) during the German Empire . From 1911 to 1918 he was a member of the state parliament of the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen and after the November Revolution from 1919 to 1920 a member of the state parliament in the Free State of Saxony-Meiningen .
