The FC Viktoria 06 Berghausen eV is a German soccer club based in the Pfinztal district of Berghausen in the Baden-Württemberg district of Karlsruhe .

history

Founded until World War I

After two failed, very short-lived predecessor clubs, the Viktoria Berghausen soccer club was founded in mid-1906. The club colors were agreed in 1909 based on the then current German champions Karlsruher FV . The registration with the South German Football Association followed in 1910, when the game began in the C-class . In 1912, the championship in the C-class was also achieved. After a brief resignation from the South German Football Association, in May 1913, they returned straight away in the autumn of the same year. After the championship in 1916, the company was finally promoted to the B-Class.

Due to the lack of players due to the First World War , the club played in a syndicate with FC Weingarten in the A-class in 1918 , but games there had to be stopped again in February of the same year.

Between the wars and the Second World War

In 1919 game operations were finally resumed, this time in the B-Class. On May 7, 1920, the entry in the register of associations followed. After the 1921/22 season, the championship could finally be celebrated in this league and you could independently move up to the A-class. The promotion to the district league, which was second class at the time, was finally achieved at the end of the 1928/29 season. At the end of the 1931/32 season, the team was even close to being promoted to the then first-class district league, but the team failed in the decisive game with 1: 2 at VfB Mühlburg .

After the National Socialists came to power, the divisions were reallocated and Viktoria was transferred to the district class. From there on, after the 1939/40 season, the district championship succeeded again, after several players were called up due to the Second World War, the club merged with SpVgg Söllingen , with which it was quite successful until the end of the war.

post war period

After the first unofficial games at the end of 1945, the club was re-established in January 1946. Due to the regulations of the occupiers, an agreement was reached on the new name of the Berghausen Football Club in 1945 . Now it went on in the district league. In 1948 the team was allowed to participate in the qualification for the newly introduced 2nd amateur league, in which it was finally allowed to rise. After the 1951/52 season, however, the first descent in the club's history followed, from there on the club played in the district class. Although the club always resided in the first position in the 1953/54 season, after a lost play-off against Hochstetten there was nothing to do with the championship. Over the years, the A-Class continued. After the 1959/60 season, the championship finally succeeded and the club was allowed to rise again to the 2nd amateur league. After an autumn championship in the 1960/61 season, the championship finally succeeded here after the 1961/62 season. In the playoffs for promotion to the 1st Amateur League North Baden , however, the team was not able to prevail. After the 1963/64 season, the autumn championship first succeeded and finally the season championship, with which the club was again allowed to participate in the promotion round to the amateur league. This time the club was able to prevail and was allowed to play a class higher for the next season.

Time in the amateur league until the 1990s

After the first season , the class was then just barely held with 22:28 points over 14th place. The team rarely advanced into midfield during these years, but was always able to assert itself in the league. Only after the 1969/70 season had to go back to the 2nd amateur league. After relegation, the team played a mixed role in the 2nd amateur league. From the 1979/80 season onwards, after the division structure change in the state league, which was the third highest amateur division at that time. After the 1983/84 season, however, he was finally relegated to the Karlsruhe district league . Only after the 1998/99 season finally succeeded again in the championship and the associated promotion to the state league.

Current time

In the 2000/01 season, the autumn championship finally succeeded here, as well as fourth place at the end of the season. After the following season, however, was relegated back to the district league. Here, with 62 points in second place at the end of the first season, they could assert themselves quite well. This league then became the Karlsruhe District League for the 2004/05 season . The team was able to hold out here for many years until the 2017/18 season, when the team had to relegate to the district class with just 20 points over 15th place. The club still plays in this division today.
