Vilaça is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Vilaça belongs to the district of Braga in the same district Braga . The community had an area of 1.57 km² and 793 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Vilaça and Fradelos were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Vilaça e Fradelos . Vilaça is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
