Vilar de Besteiros is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Tondela . The community had 891 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Vilar de Besteiros and Mosteiro de Fráguas merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Vilar de Besteiros e Mosteiro de Fráguas . Vilar de Besteiros is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
