The Villa Mauthe is a listed building and stands at the foot of the Klause towards Bregenz in the municipality of Lochau , Vorarlberg , Austria at about 400  m above sea level. A.

history

The villa was built in 1875/1876 on the site of an agricultural building. The builder was Maria von Auersperg , who had this manor house built with an economic building and a porter's house. In 1888 it became the property of Ernestine von Auersberg and Albert von Hohenlohe-Jagstberg . The villa was then bought in 1896 by the watch manufacturer Friedrich Mauthe (1822 to 1884). The house has been used as a residential and commercial building for many decades.

building

The building is rectangular and about 15 meters high, 20 meters long and 13 meters wide. When building is a detached two storey, beige plastered object with a with plain tiles covered gable roof and roadside dormer and lying behind attic with three adjacent windows. The windows are divided into seven axes at the front and there are corner pilasters on the building edges and other pilasters with simple decorative circles and recessed decorative lines on the entire building. All windows are made with sandstone frames.

The front entrance is covered with a stately, 8 meter long and 2.5 meter wide, Söller / Altan, which is located on a small colonnade . The outside of the building is in a moderately good state of preservation (2020).
