The villa of Major General Maximilian August von Schmieden is located in the Niederlößnitz district of the Saxon city of Radebeul , at Winzerstraße 43.

The 1872 by Kötzschenbrodaer builder August Great for the retired Major General Maximilian August of forging (1817-1893) built villa-like, single-storey villa stands today along with former wash house, the garden and the fence under monument protection .

The plastered building on a quarry stone base stands at the eaves to the street, on top there is a gable roof . In the street view there is a two-storey central risalit with a triangular gable and arched windows, on the garden side there is an arched door to the side of the risalit, and a symmetrical blind door on the other side. The windows of the simple building are framed by curtains , some with straight roofs.

On the left there is a wooden veranda , on the right of the building there is a single-storey, gable-free auxiliary building facing the street. The enclosure consists of a quarry stone wall with a wrought iron gate between sandstone posts.

Via Schmieden's widow and then the heirs, the property passed to his son August von Schmieden (1860–1939), who can be found in the address book at the address there from 1931 and lived there until the end of his life in 1939. By 1944, Schmieden's heirs are again entered in the address book.

The tomb of Maximilian August v. Schmieden is located at the Radebeul-West cemetery , where he is buried with his son, Lieutenant General August von Schmieden.
