Villa Meißner Strasse 296

description

The two-storey, listed villa , also classified as a rental villa , stands on a quarry stone base and has a flattened, gently sloping slate hipped roof . In the five-axis street view there is a three-axis central projection with a volute gable . In front of the risalit there is a terrace with a pillar-supported arbor , the exit on top is closed by wrought iron grille between short pillars in the extension of the lower supports. The upper floor windows there are integrated into a pilaster structure. The other windows are framed by profiled sandstone walls and crowned by horizontal roofs on the upper floor and triangular gable roofs on the ground floor.

The smooth plastered building is structured by cornices and corner pilasters, with stucco ornaments.

history

On December 29, 1892, Moritz Große , master builder and community elder of Kötzschenbroda, received the building permit for the residential building and an outbuilding. The building inspection took place in April 1894.

The villa was restored in 2000 by its owner in accordance with the listed building standards. For the “exemplary careful renovation” of a “gem of the villa architecture typical of Radebeul”, the client was awarded the Radebeul Builder Prize in 2001 . In particular, the “complete preservation of the lush greenery that pleasantly frames the house” was positively noted by the jury.
