Thermal bath café

The Villa Pereira-Arnstein is a listed Biedermeier villa in Bad Vöslau in Lower Austria .

The single-storey building, erected around 1830, is attributed to Joseph Kornhäusel . The villa, laid out with a square floor plan, originally stood on a rusticated base and was used as a café thermal bath from the second half of the 20th century and was therefore surrounded by a terrace. In the north and east it has three-axis central projections , a continuous eaves cornice and a smooth parapet . The window and door openings, which are vaulted with dazzling arches, have terracotta decorations from the 4th quarter of the 19th century. In the south there is an older two-storey farm building, which is connected to the villa via an archway .

In June 2016 there was a building ban. The café has been closed since 2017 and the building is being renovated. The municipality acquired the property in June 2017 and sold it to Vöslauer Mineralwasser AG in 2018, which will renovate the villa and the farm building behind it in accordance with the guidelines for the protection of historical monuments. A subsequent extension will function as the new company headquarters.

There is also a mighty plane tree on the property, which is protected as a natural monument ( BN-048 ).
