Villa Rist
The Villa Rist is a listed building with the address Lindauer Straße 20 in the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) . It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Hildegardis Gymnasium .
The suburban villa was built in 1860 and generously expanded in 1935 and 1938 by two angled wings of equal height. The expansion was used as a boarding school for girls.
For many decades, the municipal boarding school for girls was sponsored by the Dillinger Franciscan Sisters. In the summer of 1990 it had to be closed for financial reasons. Since 1990 the building has been used as a "house for parents and children" under the sponsorship of the Diakonisches Werk Kempten. The building received monument status in 2009. In addition to a kindergarten and after-school care center, a crèche group has also been maintained there since spring 2010.
The villa, built in 1860, is a two-storey hipped roof building with a corner core , mezzanine and roof structure .
