Villa Rosenburg in Gilching

The Villa Rosenburg in Gilching , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg , was built in 1900/01. The villa at Leitenweg 21 is a protected architectural monument .

The three-storey building with two crenellated corner towers and segmented arched windows was built according to plans by the Munich architect Franz Schneider. Franz Schneider got into financial difficulties with the construction and had to sell the villa, which he never lived in. He emigrated to America, where he died.

During the renovation in 1969/70, some details of the building were changed.
