The Villa Siegel is a listed villa in Schönebeck (Elbe) in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the north side of Geschwister-Scholl-Strasse, near its eastern end at the address Geschwister-Scholl-Strasse 157. For the villa, the address at Geschwister-Scholl-Strasse 1 was at times.

Architecture and history

The villa was built in 1886 for the factory owner Feodor Siegel, who ran a machine factory and then the Feodor Siegel automobile factory in the immediate vicinity . After the automobile factory had to cease production around 1911, the villa served as the seat of the Schönebeck Masonic lodge . From 1935 the villa was the seat of the Schönebecker Sparkasse . After the political change in 1989 , a new Sparkasse building was built in the neighborhood. The Villa Siegel was renovated and remained in use by the Sparkasse.

Inside the building there are four remarkable stucco ceilings on the lower floor . They are decorated with paintings by unknown Italian artists. Particularly noteworthy is the ceiling of the former salon, which was then temporarily used as the left bank of the Sparkasse .

In the local register of monuments , the villa is listed as an architectural monument under registration number 094 61005 .
