history

August Valentin Pönitz's first building application from August 1890 was varied in March 1891. After approval of the plans from the builder Adolf Neumann, he also carried out the construction, which was then due for the construction inspection in October 1891. The factory owner's villa, also classified as a rental villa , belonged to the owner of the timber business immediately adjacent to the west (Güterhofstrasse 12).

In 1920 a veranda was added to the rear of the building in the south.
