Villa rustica (Stoffenried)

The villa rustica in the district of Stoffenried , a district of the municipality of Ellzee in the Swabian district of Günzburg in Bavaria , was examined during inspections in 1988/89. The villa rustica , 1600 m east of the Church of St. Giles , is a protected ground monument with the file number D-7-7627-0035.

Quarry stone and brick concentrations were found in the field. Numerous fragments of Tegula and pottery were found.

Farther to the north, areas of dark discoloration could be seen that could possibly be tombs from the Roman Empire .
