Vincent Dubois (* 1980 in Saint-Brieuc ) is a French organist .

biography

Dubois studied at the Conservatoire de Paris in Olivier Latry's class and won numerous prizes. In 2002 he won two major organ competitions, the Calgary International Organ Competition and first prize at the " Xavier Darasse " competition in Toulouse .

This was followed by numerous appearances throughout Europe, the USA, Canada and Asia. He also collaborated with numerous orchestras as the Philadelphia Orchestra , the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra , the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France , the Orchester National de France , the Orquesta Filharmonica de Gran Canaria.

In 1996 Dubois was appointed titular organist of the Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Saint-Étienne cathedral of Saint-Brieuc, and in 2001 he was also titular organist of the Soissons cathedral . Dubois has been director of the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional in Strasbourg since 2011 . In January 2016, he was appointed titular organist of the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral to succeed Jean-Pierre Leguay , where he holds this position together with Olivier Latry and Philippe Lefebvre . He teaches organ and improvisation at the Saar University of Music in Saarbrücken .
