Vincent Maguy (born January 20, 1997 in Paris ) is a professional French handball player. His playing position is back center . He belongs to the so-called golden generation of French handball. Vincent Maguy has been playing handball for the French club Dijon Métropole in the French Proligue since the 2018/19 season .
Career
youth
Vincent Maguy began playing handball in 2010 at the age of 13 at L'Athlétic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt (ACBB). He played for this club for three years before moving to Entente Sannois Saint-Gratien for two years in the 2013/14 season. During his youth, Vincent Maguy completed his handball training as a selected beacon of hope at the CDFAS excellence center (Center départemental de formation en activités sportives), which is located in the municipalities of Eaubonne and Saint-Gratien and is one of the best youth training centers in France in the field of handball. With his team he played in the IDF, the Ligue Ile de France. Vincent Maguy played for the French national team in the U15, U17, U19 and U21 age groups. With the U21 national team, he won bronze medals at the 2016 European Championships in Denmark and at the 2017 World Championships in Algeria.
Professional career
At the age of 17, Vincent Maguy moved to Tremblay-en-France . At this club he received a professional contract for the Lidl Starligue for the 2015/16 season. In his first year as a professional, Vincent Maguy has already played 19 games in the top French league. After a season at Tremblay-en-France, he moved to the Club Cesson-Rennes Métropole Handball within the Lidl Starligue for the 2016/17 season . After a year, he separated from this club and initially did not join a new club, but trained at the world-class club FC Barcelona Lassa and in Madrid. In response to a request from JC Cherbourg, who asked him to join the team in March 2018, Vincent Maguy played for JC Cherbourg until the end of the 2017/18 season. Vincent Maguy has been playing handball for Dijon Métropole in the French Proligue since the 2018/19 season .
